The Daily Record is reporting manager Malky Mackay is close to agreeing a deal with the St Mirren player to move to Dingwall next season.

It is also reporting that the Staggies are close to agreeing a deal to bring Eamonn Brophy back on a permanent basis after being on loan at the Global Energy Stadium last season.

Henderson (21) was on loan at Inverness Caledonian Thistle for the second half of the Championship campaign last season and impressed during his time there.

He is out of contract at St Mirren and has reportedly rejected a new deal as he is looking for regular first team football.

Brophy (27) played eight games for Ross County last season before a thigh injury ruled him out of the rest of the campaign.

The speculation on both players comes after it was revealed Ross County have signed midfielder Max Sheaf from Redditch United for an undisclosed fee on a two-year contract.

Sheaf is Ross County's fourth signing ahead of the 2023/24 season, joining fellow midfield recruits Scott Allardice and Kyle Turner, and returning homegrown full back Josh Reid, in Dingwall.
