Josh Reid is a Ross County player once again after returning to Dingwall from Coventry City

The 21-year-old left back broke into the Staggies' senior set-up in 2020 after progressing through the club's academy.

Trusted as County's first-choice left back straight away by then-manager Stuart Kettlewell, Reid would impress in 24 appearances across all competitions in the first half of the campaign before Coventry made their move.

Heading south for an undisclosed fee and signing a deal until the summer of 2024, there were big hopes for the youngster.

However, Reid struggled to break into Coventry's first team, only making one senior appearance in the EFL Cup against Northampton and spending time out on loan at Stevenage last season.

Now, he has returned to his hometown club on a three-year contract, and he will hope to reignite his career in Dingwall.

County manager Malky Mackay told the club's website: "I am delighted to see Josh return to the club, he knows the club and area very well and is a player who has had recent international experience with the Scotland U21s."
