A fallen tree blocking the A832 road between Kinlochewe and Gairloch in Wester Ross is said to have been 'cut back', as Storm Gerrit causes transport chaos across the Highlands.

The fallen tree was first noted at approximately 11am this morning, blocking one side of the road. The location of the tree was said to be on the Kinlochewe to Gairloch route, 'just before the old cattle grid'.

As of approximately 12pm, the tree is said to have been cut back, with the road cleared.

It has also been noted that there are a few tree limbs down on the A862 between Kinochewe and Gairloch, and that the surface water on the road is 'horrendous'.
