A ROSS-SHIRE community hub which has welcomed thousands of people through its doors down the years is celebrating a landmark birthday today.
Dingwall Primary School has turned 50 in the strangest of times.
The county town's primary school hasn't been able to celebrate as it would like but said it couldn't let the occasion pass without marking it.
Despite the restrictions of the coronavirus crisis and the fact that all pupils are not yet back to its classrooms, the school has been able to share its big day with the rest of the community.
Displays of children's work can be found around Dingwall in Lidl, the Spar, Co-op and Tesco. There's also a banner at Frank Nicol's store.
The town hall clock in the heart of the community will also be lit in the school colours, blue and red.
One former pupil, Andrew Macivor, posted: "I was in the first primary 1 class when the school opened all those years ago – happy birthday!"
Another wrote: "My mother in law started P7 in the new school. My husband went and now our children are there. A lot of history!"
