FROM the dramatic and unexpected to the slightly more run-of-the-mill but no less important occurrences and events, life was not all about coronavirus in the Highlands in 2020 – even after lockdown was imposed.

While it has been a tough and challenging 12 months for everyone, there were also moments of fun, laughter and joy among the heartache and plenty to remind us that even, or perhaps especially, during hard times there are always people in our communities wiling to go the extra mile to make sure those in need are looked after.
