HUNDREDS of young people have been having fun in the sun at an outdoor summer plays cheme in Easter Ross.

The place youth group in Alness has been making the most of its outdoor base, The Field, to host a series of events for young people.

More than 90 children a day have been attending and the scheme has been visited twice by Lord Lieutenant Janet Bowen who declared herself impressed with what she saw.

The Invergordon man crowned World's Strongest Man, Tom Stoltman, also popped by to talk to the delighted youngsters.

The scheme has gone down well with many parents too.

Angela Sutherland posted: "Absolutely incredible what the team has done for the kids , every day I collect my kids from club and all I see is kids having a blast . So thank you so much for holding this each year."

Jacquie Steel observed: "This is such a lovely programme of activities!"
