Gairloch Museum launches 'superb' first art exhibition of 2024
Gairloch Museum has launched their first art exhibition of the year, attracting a "lovely crowd" on the opening night.
The two artists featured in the exhibition is Celia Garbutt in the Lower Gallery and Sadie Paige in the Upper Gallery.
Celia Garbutt's exhibition, titled Romansachd/Romance, is inspired by the book The Summer Walkers by Timothy Neat. She also takes inspiration from the poem Romance by Robert Louis Stevenson.
Sadie Paige's collection, titled Hello Sweet Cheeks!, is said to be a "fascinating and informative exhibition" which showcases 12 small-scale samplers that were designed and woven as a part of the artist's portfolio for her certificate of achievement in tapestry weaving.
