A TEAM of supermarket superheroes in Easter Ross had a pleasant surprise in store for a mental health charity this week.

The Evanton Co-op team banded together for a weekend of fundraising, managing to collect a total of £725 for SAMH (Scottish Association for Mental Health).

The effort – which put smiles on the faces of customers encountering some familiar faces in perhaps ess familiar outfits – included a raffle, colouring competition and lucky squares.

And some members of staff took part in a sponsored cycle from Beauly to Evanton on Monday.
