Evanton Co-op turns blue.

A LANDMARK building in an Easter Ross was lit blue in honour of NHS staff at the Covid-19 front line last night.

This time it was the turn of the Co-op in Evanton to get the blue light treatment courtesy of Prism Event Lighting, which is based in nearby Invergordon.

Keith Bauer of Prism said: "After a couple of nights off, we continued our wee trail through the towns and villages by visiting the Co-op in Evanton.

"The team wanted to show their appreciation to the NHS and all key workers during the Covid-19 outbreak. I would personally like to thank the Evanton Co-op team for all that they are doing to help the elderly and vulnerable in the village. Amazing community spirit."

Staff at the Co-op supported by community volunteers have been delivering shopping to vulnerable folk on their own time during the lockdown.

MacGregor Industrial Supplies Ltd helped power the effort and the subsequent video was edited by Alness Entertainment Services.

Mr Bauer said: "We are hoping to continue with our adventure but the weather is set to turn bad from tonight. We are going to monitor this tomorrow and decide whether to continue with our next venues."
