The Strathpeffer Highland Gathering has revealed a date for the planned return of its annual event.

The event had fallen foul of Covid over the past two years and in 2019 was cancelled because of the weather.

Organisers have pencilled in Saturday, August 6.

The committee used its social media page to state: "We will be hosting some special events this year, watch this space for information coming soon.

"Sadly some of our past staff are retired and we are looking to replace them to help run our Gathering smoothly, if you would like to help out please get in touch via here or contact the secretary direct at mac@albagames.co.uk

"We have also had quite a few enquiries about stalls from traders so if you would like to attend as a trader get in touch post-haste.

"We look forward to welcoming our visitors back."
