THE Black Isle's favourite singing supermarket delivery driver has added to his growing collection of homespun hits inspired by the coronavirus lockdown by taking liberties with another classic.

Liam Christie's karaoke-style reworking of familiar favourites has attracted a growing following since he took on work as a delivery driver for Tesco at the height of the coronavirus lockdown.

With his own entertainment promotions company essentially sidelined during the pandemic due to the blanket cancellation of events and the requirements of social distancing, Mr Christie has been sharing his love of musical singalongs between delivery stints which are taking the length and breadth of Ross-shire.

To date he's tackled everything from the Dominic Cummings saga – with a revamp of Johnny Cash's Ring of Fire – to supermarket delivery slots number inspired by Smokie's Living Next Door to Alice. He kicked it off with a quirky 'shopeen' inspired take on The Proclaimers.

His latest sees him reworking the Tom Jones tune Delilah, with some unique Tik Tok moves thrown in for good measure.

Ironically a show planned by the Welsh superstar for the Highland capital this summer is amongst a long list of casualties

After putting smiles on many faces with his antics, there also appears to be light at the end of the tunnel for his music promotions work with early stages plans for a country music drive-in show at the Black Isle Show ground in Muir of Ord pencilled in for August 2.
