Strathpeffer cyclist wins second world title as he claims gold medal in road race

STRATHPEFFER cyclist Fin Graham has won a second gold medal at the World Cycling Championship as he claimed victory in C3 Road Race.

The Ross-shire para-athlete came out on top in the 62.4km road race through Dumfries and Galloway as he crossed the line in one hour 32 minutes and 59 seconds.

In a close contest, the 23-year-old was two seconds ahead of Thomas Peyroton Dortet of France with Benjamin Watson of Great Britain in third place.

It was Graham's second world title and sixth medal overall of the world championships.

Last Sunday, he became Men's C3 Individual Pursuit world champion at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome in Glasgow.

He has also won four silver medals, three of them in the velodrome in the C3 Scratch Race, Men C3 1km time trial and in the Omnium.

He also won silver in the Men C3 Individual Time Trial road race in Dumfries and Galloway on Thursday.
