MANAGER Malky Mackay says Ross County’s undefeated run of matches can give them confidence they can pick up a good result against Celtic in Dingwall tomorrow.

The Staggies have picked up draws in their last three matches against Dundee, Motherwell and Hibernian which were all away from home.

Now they take on the champions at the Global Energy Stadium looking to win their first league match since September 2.

Ross County came back from two goals down to salvage a 2-2 draw against Hibernian at Easter Road on Tuesday night.

Mackay says it was a tremendous comeback from his team after a poor start, where Ross County also created chances to win the game late on.

He says his team can take a lot of confidence from the result in Edinburgh.

He said: “That gives them confidence, that means you can go to grounds and city clubs and play against a team that have been doing well and came off the back of a good result against Celtic.

“To play and dominate parts of the game gives evidence to them.

“It is alright me talking to them and taking responsibility saying how good I think we are.

“The evidence has been shown against Motherwell, Dundee and Hibernian.

“We have Celtic and the champions at home which is its own challenge.

“What i’m happy with is the way that we are playing.

"We had more possession than Motherwell and should have beat them and then against Hibernian I thought that we were excellent.”

Ross County did find themselves 2-0 down at Easter Road on Tuesday night.

Hibernian took the lead through Elie Jouan in the first half with Jair Tavares doubling their advantage in the second half.

Ross County were given a lifeline when Hibs defender Allan Delferriere turned a Yan Dhanda cross into his own net and then Jordan White scored seven minutes from time to level the game.

Speaking about the performance, Mackay said: “In the second half we started well, lost the good goal from their point of view and at 2-0 this could have got away from us.

“But we were brave and they continued to play and find openings and we eventually got the goals. We then had a couple of great chances to win.”
