The left back has signed for League One outfit Exeter City for an undisclosed fee, bringing an end to his 18-month association with the Staggies.

Having seen his first season in Dingwall blighted by a long-term injury that practically wiped out the second half of his campaign, Purrington made 33 appearances in total for County, scoring twice.

Purrington's exit follows the loan departure of Kyle Turner and the end of Scott High's temporary move to Scotland as Derek Adams picks up a head of steam in his bid to shape the club's playing squad in his own image.
