Tain and Easter Ross Highland Council by-election hustings set

VOTERS will get the chance to later this week to quiz candidates standing for election in the Tain and Easter Ross by-election.

Voting for the vacant Highland Council ward seat will take place on Thursday, September 28.

But people will get a chance to hear what each of the candidates stands for when a hustings is held by Tain Community Council on Thursday evening.

The event will take place in the main assembly hall at Tain Royal Academy. Doors open at 7.30pm, with the event beginning at 8pm.

"All the public are invited and welcome to join us," said a spokesman for the community council. "You will have an opportunity to question each candidate prior to polling day."
