Storm Babet hits Ullapool Harbour after CalMac cancels all Ullapool–Stornoway sailings for October 19.

The video taken by Wayne Ross early this morning shows the choppy high tide at Ullapool Harbour.

After the Met Office's yellow weather warning issued for the west coast, CalMac has cancelled all sailings from Ullapool to Stornoway today, October 19, due to the adverse weather forecasted.

Storm leaves powers hundreds without power

The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) have also advised for people to stay away from the coast, and to consider the dangers the storm could bring.
