WATCH: 'It feels amazing' – Strictly Inverness duo win competition after standing ovation from judges

Strictly Inverness has come to a close as Natalie Marshall and Stevie Strang were crowned winners of the competition.

The duo, who received a standing ovation from celebrity judges Janette Manrara and Aljaž Škorjanec, impressed the audience with their moves and energy,.

Ms Marshall said: "It feels amazing, a lot of hard work but it has been an amazing five months, especially to achieve winning.

"Everyone was amazing tonight.

"It's been a very supportive environment, and we've made friends for life."

Mr Strang said: "We've had a great time, I haven't laughed as much in years. I would recommend it to anybody who wants to try and step out of their comfort zone to do it."

Second place was taken by Lia Smith and Sam Murphy and the third spot by Jade Robertson and Luke O'Brien.

The event was expected to have raised around £250,000 to be split between Highland Hospice and Inverness Ice Centre.
