JUDGES from this year's Strictly Inverness were impressed by the level of the performances on show at this year's grand finale.

Former Strictly Come Dancing participants and professional dancers Janette Manrara and Aljaž Škorjanec – who are expecting their first baby together – were impressed by the performances on the night.

Judge Janette Manrara said: "If we could have given a 10 to every single person that performed tonight we would have – they just gave 100 per cent to themselves and credit single couple goes to every couple that made it to the finals, the choreographer and to everyone working to make this event possible, it was a sensational night."

Aljaž Škorjanec said they were also moved by visiting the Hospice in Inverness the day before the final: "We were lucky to visit the hospice yesterday and it's such a beautiful building with so much love and care, and that translates to this evening."

Wendy Morgan form the Highland Hospice said: "This year's Strictly has really been up there with the best ones we've had, it's been an amazing night.

"The event grows and grows and grows every year. We had judges from outside and different ones each night, which changed it and everyone had to up their game for it.

"I wish we could do it more than once a year!"
