THE father of a missing Easter Ross hiker is appealing to people to look at and share his photograph in the hope it will help someone to spot him whilst out and about.

Finn Creaney, who lived in the Tain area, was last seen around 2.15pm on Friday, March 25 at Altnaharra in Sutherland near Loch Naver.

The married father-of-one, an experienced bushcraft enthusiast, was then posted missing on March 28 after failing to turn up.

A search of the rugged area has been maintained with funding support from a JustGiving page and his dad, Mark, has given regular video updates to help keep his son in people's minds.

He said: "I just want everyone to know that we're still positive and still going forward. The nights are getting darker and it's a wee bit colder now.

"It's16-hour nights now so there's a lot of downtime in our search because we have to hunker down for the night, But we're still up doing it, making that choice to move forward and keep him in our hearts."

He thanked everyone who has sent positive energy and funding to maintain the search.

He is keen for people to share images and posters of Finn so he remains in people's conciousness.

He said: "If everyone looked at a picture of Finn every morning, and then, you know, you're own facial recognition software would have him in the back of your mind and maybe you are out and you would just click and go, 'that's that guy, that's Finn'.

"It may help, wherever that may be or whatever he is doing or whatever condition he is in, to bring him home to us because we really need it right now. It's coming to that time where we want to hunker down be cosy for the winter and we want Finn to be there with us so we can have good cheer.

"Let's all make it happen. Keep him in your minds as we keep him in our hearts."
