Family of missing Easter Ross man Finn Creaney (32) desperately looking for answers 12 weeks on saying he was 'happiest he's ever been' when last seen

THE family of an Easter Ross man who was last seen in March today issued a fresh appeal for help in finding him, stating that he was was "of sound mind and the happiest he's ever been" when he went missing.

Finn Creaney (32), from the Tain area, was reported missing on Monday, March 28.

He was last seen around 2.15pm on Friday, March 25 at Altnaharra in Sutherland near Loch Naver.

Extensive searches which initially involved mountain rescue teams, family, friends, volunteers

A Search for Finn Creaney Facebook page has been set up while volunteers and well-wishers have been conducting regular searches of areas of might have passed.

Mr Creaney, a husband and father, is an experienced walker.

His family posted: "Family and friends are desperate to be reunited with Finn as soon as possible! It's been nearly 12 weeks and there is still no trace! Finn was of sound mind and the happiest he's ever been when last seen so this disappearance is unexplainable and we want answers!!!"

He is described as 5ft 11in tall, of slim build, with light complexion and freckles on his arms and nose.

He has long brown hair down to his lower back and a full brown/ginger beard.

He was wearing a long brown leather jacket slightly aged and described as a replica of Aragorn's outfit from Lord of the Rings.

He also has a green tweed/felt poncho and green Berghaus rucksack with him. He was wearing brown walking boots that go to above the ankle.

Anyone who may have seen Finn or have any information at all is urged to contact Search for Finn Creaney Facebook page or Police Scotland on 101 or speak to any officer quoting reference 0912 of 28 March.

They have asked that the appeal be shared widely.
