AN Easter Ross market devoted to selling pre-loved baby and toddler items is set to be repeated later in the year after being voted "a huge success".

Mansfield Hub staged the event at Tain's YMCA Cafe at the weekend with 15 stalls helping the group pull in a useful £300 on table fees, raffle and baking.

Mansfield Hub's Katie Campbell said: "The Mama's Market was a huge success and was very busy! We had 15 stalls selling preloved baby/children's items. A cake stall with tea and coffee available and a huge raffle with amazing prizes donated from local businesses around Tain.

"We are hoping to organise another 'Mama's Market' around October/November time to help have a clear-out before Christmas and to start looking for new toys for our little ones.

"Other upcoming events include our Easter fun day on Saturday, March 30 from noon to 2pm, held at the Mansfield Hub by the play park on the Mansfield estate. This event is open to all and we will have an Easter egg hunt, Easter activities, a wee bouncy castle for the little ones and tea, coffee and cake available to buy."

More details will follow in the upcoming weeks.

The Mansfield Hub and the Mansfield Residents Association are also planning summer activities including a garden competition on the estate.

Added Katie: "We are also looking to start our 'sort out Saturdays' on the Mansfield estate again at the end of April! It's so busy up at the Mansfield Hub just now!"
