A BRIDGE in Ross-shire has reopened yesterday after being closed over the weekend for damage assessment following a car crash.

The High Bridge on the B9176 Struie Road near Ardgay was closed after a one-vehicle accident on Friday evening saw a woman taken to Raigmore Hospital for treatment.

A spokesperson from the Highland Council confirmed: "The Struie road B9176 re-opened yesterday afternoon at 4pm with traffic control over the bridge.

"Our engineers are continuing assessment work and monitoring the structure and the traffic control lights will remain in place at this time."
