UPDATE: A835 has reopened following an earlier pylon fire

A pylon fire near Conon Bridge has been successfully put out.

Firefighters were able to leave the scene at 4.29pm and a Traffic Scotland spokesman has just confirmed that the A835 has now reopened.

Police were also in attendance at a pylon fire near Dingwall.

It is understood they were called in to coordinate diverting traffic while firefighters were tackling the blaze.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "We are in attendance to deal with traffic management."
