A young boy from Conon Bridge went the extra mile at the weekend to help his aunt fundraise.

Tommy Campbell (6), joined by mum Rebecca, aunt Debbie and cousin Tahlia, ventured 10km from Strathpeffer to Maryburgh.

The group were raising money for Debbie, who is a contestant in this years Strictly Inverness. Amateur dancers have to raise money for the Highland Hospice and Inverness Ice Centre.

Tommy, who goes to St Clement's School, wanted to help out.

He loves walking so thought this would be a great way to do it.

The group set off in bright yellow Hospice t-shirts and took 2.5 hours to complete the walk.

Mum Rebecca said: "The walk was good, muddy and cold at times, but he enjoyed it. We got lots of waves and beeps from cars going past once we reached Dingwall.

"It took us 2.5 hours and he raised £860."

Debbie's fundraising page is still open for donations ahead of the competition in May.
