A DETERMINED young boy is going the extra mile to support his aunt's charity mission.

Tommy Campbell (6), who is from Conon Bridge, is embarking on a 10-kilometre walk on Saturday with mum, Rebecca.

He is raising money for aunt, Debbie Campbell, a contestant in this year's Strictly Inverness event.

He has autism spectrum disorder, which can make life very challenging for him – but walking is one of his favourite hobbies.

The St Clement's School pupil in Dingwall will start his walk at Strathpeffer, finishing in Maryburgh.

He wanted to help his aunt, who is training for the competition three times a week.

Contestants also have to raise money to take part, and Ms Campbell has a goal of £5000.
