A DEVELOPMENT trust behind a host of events and initiatives in Easter Ross is getting ready to flit.

Tain & District Development Trust is set to move from leased premises at the town's Stafford Street to a new base at 8 Tower Road. The existing office will close on Thursday, November 4 at 5pm to begin the process of moving. The group will reopen at its new location on Tuesday, November 9 at 9am.

It explained: "The last 18 months have been trying for almost every organisation and community. Knowing our lease was coming up for renewal, at Stafford Street, in November 2021 and that we would have to continue to work alongside the ongoing challenges Covid-19 has posed to organisations such as ourselves we made the decision that there was a real need to refocus on our services and improve space utilisation.

"By choosing to move premises, it allows us to decrease wasted resources - improving sustainability and reducing energy consumption - which not only allows us to retain our staff, it allows us to continue to provide the best possible customer service to the Easter Ross Peninsula communities and our partners both now and in the future.

"This is an exciting time for the Trust, and we look forward to welcoming you to our new, centrally located, space on Tower Street."
