PUPILS at a Black Isle secondary school enjoyed a post-Christmas treat on return to the classroom yesterday when a former pupil dropped in.

Scotland rugby star Jade Konkel, from the Black Isle, took time out to speak to staff and pupils during her flying visit to her old school, Fortrose Academy.

Jade has reached the pinnacle of the sport representing her country at the Rugby World Cup.

The school later posted: "Despite it being a flying visit, Jade took the time to speak to both staff and pupils. She even let us take a wee photo with her signed top. Hopefully, she can come in for longer the next time she is home! Safe travels and all the best for the rest of the season."
