St Duthus in Tain and Marybank Primary nursery closed, according to Highland Council daily update

A ROSS-SHIRE school's nursery is closed today for Covid-related reasons while a special school won't open due to "unforeseen circumstances".

Marybank Primary School's nursery is on Highland Council's closure list today.

The reason given is Covid-related.

Meanwhile St Duthus special school in Tain is also closed for "unforeseen reasons".

A total of four primary schools and seven nurseries are closed, according to Highland Council.

They are as follows:

Bonar Bridge Primary: Closed (Covid-19 related)

Durness Primary: Closed (unforeseen circumstances)

Durness Primary Nursery: Closed (unforeseen circumstances)

Grantown Primary: Closed (bad weather)

Grantown Primary Nursery: Closed (bad weather)

Kinlochbervie Preschool: Partially closed - nursery closed (unforeseen circumstances)

Marybank Primary Nursery: Partially closed - nursery closed (COVID-19 related)

Noss Primary Nursery: Partially closed - nursery closed (COVID-19 related)

Scourie Primary Nursery: Partially closed - nursery closed (unforeseen circumstances)

St Duthus School: Closed (unforeseen circumstances)

Strathdearn Primary: Closed (bad weather)

Strathdearn Primary Nursery: Closed (bad weather)

The closures affect 289 primary pupils, 26 pupils at St Duthus and 98 children at nursery schools.

Highland Council posts a list of closed schools from 7am on weekdays during term time.
