A new meeting supporting families and friends of loved ones in addiction in Ross-shire is launching.

Taking place online, the SMART Recovery meetings are being run by local charity, Apex Highland, in order to provide support and help to family members of those in addiction.

The first meeting will take place on Sunday October 29, and will run weekly from 7pm - 8.30pm on Zoom.

Apex personal development manager, Jackie Ross said: "This is an informal meeting to reach out to families who have loved ones in the grip of addiction.

"It's an opportunity to meet others in the same position, and it will be an open time to chat.

"People don't need to leave the house for it and it can be done from the comfort of their home."

The sessions are being funded by Safe Access Highland.

Meeting details can be accessed here.
