An event designed to provide people with information for help and support across Ross-shire has been hailed a success.

Local charity, Apex Highland, organised for a range of community organisations to come along to Joss Street Hall in Invergordon, to showcase the support they can provide to the public on a matter of issues.

Speaking about the event, Apex personal development manager, Jackie Ross said: "We had 18 stands at the event, and around 40 members of the public came along to see what help and services there is out there.

"We didn't get as many as we expected, but it's the first one we've tried.

"The feedback we received from stand holders has been positive as they had the opportunity to network."

Stands present at the event included: Drug and Alcohol Partnerships; Mikeysline; Citizens Advice Bureau; Highland Third Sector Interface; Connecting Carers; Community Support and Engagement; Albyn Housing; Highlife Highland; NC500 Cleaning; Police Scotland; Apex Highland; and the Archie Foundation.

Ms Ross added: "We will be looking to host similar events next year, on a bigger scale!

"Everyone present is just trying to help people in the community."
