A local charity is hosting an open day for the public to get face-to-face with a variety of organisations that can help with a variety of circumstances.

Apex Highland will be holding the event on Monday, October 16, at Joss Street Hall in Invergordon.

The aim of the event is to show the public the help that is available to them if they are struggling, with anything from housing, to addiction, to mental health.

Jackie Ross, personal development manager at APEX said: "It's basically an information networking day, and we will have 22 standholders from all different sectors.

"We've had other events in the past, but it has just been for partner organisations to network with one another. But it's the public who are struggling. We want people to know what support is out there for them, and that there is help on hand in their area."

The event is free, running from 11am – 3pm, and there will coffee and cake available.

Jackie added: "People don't know what is available to them, so we hope this day provides a information and help to people who need it."
