A MEDICAL practice in Ross-shire is gearing up to begin Covid vaccinations of its 65-69 years old age group.

Kyle Medical Practice is also advising anyone on its register aged over 70 who have not had their vaccine yet to get in touch so they can be added to the list.

It posted: "If you are 70+ and have not yet had your vaccine, we have been unable to contact you by phone.

"Please phone the practice tomorrow and you will be added to this week's clinic."

The practice is also advising that it only has small amounts of vaccine "so it will take us a couple of weeks to work through the 65 -69 year olds and will then be moving on to those in the 18-64 year old at risk category".

It added: "We are hoping that the supply of vaccine will improve soon."

A number of appreciative patients have paid tribute to the efforts of health staff at the practice.

One wrote: "To all staff at the surgery, under difficult circumstances you're all doing an amazing job. I thank you for my (absolutely painless) vaccine jab."

Another posted: "Keep up the fantastic work!"
