SANTA is scheduled to make a stopover in a Lochalsh community this weekend aiming to gift local lifesavers a fundraising boost.

Like all other RNLI stations, the Kyle of Lochalsh team relies on fundraising and donations to provide its lifesaving at sea voluntary role.

One of the key fundraising events in its calendar is the Kyle Lifeboat Station Santa's Grotto event.

This year it is being held this Saturday (December 9) from 2-4pm.

The event will also feature the sale of RNLI souvenirs, a raffle and lucky squares.

And the ever-popular opportunity to have a photo taken with Santa will again be on offer.

Santa's £2.50 per child admission will benefit Kyle RNLI. Every child will also receive a gift.
