A ROSS-SHIRE landmark building has been illuminated in a special show of solidarity to the people of Ukraine.

Dingwall Community Council shared a picture of the town hall lit in the colours of Ukraine's flag.

It's simple message is: "For Ukraine."

It follows the invasion by Russian forces amid growing concerns about a humanitarian crisis and condemnation from around the world over the actions of President Vladimir Putin.

The post has attracted scores of shares and likes within hours.

Elizabeth Wilson McNabb posted: "WOW... what a wonderful thing for the fine folks of my hometown (Dingwall, Scotland) to do...light up our beautiful Town Hall with the colours of Ukraine! I pray this MADNESS be over soon!"
