Tarradale Primary kids cut the ribbon at Muir of Ord £2 million store opening

PRIMARY school pupils were guests of honour at the ribbon-cutting opening of a £2 million superstore in their village.

Staff at the new Co-op in Muir of Old welcomed Tarradale Primary pupils for the grand opening on Great North Road.

The convenience retailer’s purpose-built 3000 sq. ft. premises will support 15 local jobs.

A new bakery range includes hot and cold food from bakers Harry Gow while Amazon lockers will soon be added for parcel collection.

Martin Brant, Co-op's store manager, said: “We have had a great response in welcoming the community into their new, purpose-built Co-op. The store has a great look and feel, and our aim is to operate at the heart of local life – we have worked to develop the range, choice, products and added services to create a really compelling offer to serve the community.”
