Muir of Ord is set to be without its Co-op store until early October.

The shop will close this weekend for the start of building work.

Plans are for a new 3750 sq ft store, with increased parking, improved access and enhanced back of shop facilities to launch in early October.

Co-op area manager Daniel Simpson said: “We are fast approaching the key construction stages for the redevelopment of our Muir of Ord store.

"To complete the project we are required to close the store this weekend to allow for building work to safely take place.

“We are sorry for any inconvenience caused while the store remains closed, and we are working with our contractors to reopen the new and improved Muir of Ord store for early October to serve the community once again with an upgraded offering and shopping experience.”
