PICTURES: Vintage tractors rev up memories of days gone by for Eilean Dubh Care Home residents in Black Isle community of Fortrose

THE appearance of a convoy of vintage tractors triggered memories of days gone by for residents at a Black Isle care home.

The Highland Hospice vintage tractor run recently rolled into Fortrose, delighting the residents of Eilean Dubh Care Home.

Ness Road rumbled to the sound of engines as the convoy of 32 tractors – accompanied by Highland Hospice volunteers - made its grand entrance into the care home grounds.

The visit offered an up-close encounter with the vehicles, particularly appreciated by residents with an agricultural background and those from farming communities.

Fiona Sutherland, manager of Eilean Dubh, said: “We were thrilled to have been a part of this Highland Hospice visit. Residents very much enjoyed seeing the vehicles at close range, especially those with an agricultural background or from rural areas.
