Dingwall, Alness and Kyle army cadets benefit from Co-op local community fund

A trio of army cadet detachments have all recently benefited from the Co-op local community fund.
Cadets from the 1 st Battalion The Highlanders’ Alness, Dingwall and Kyle Detachments will now benefit from almost £10,000 of funding that can go towards improving the cadet experience for their Detachments.
The first presentation was in Kyle of Lochalsh and which was attended by the cadets of Kyle detachment, who accepted a cheque of £5031.08 which was raised by Co-op members of the local community.
The second presentation was in Dingwall, which was attended by Ross Company’s Sergeant Major CSMI Craig MacIver (34) who accepted cheque for £3509.88 on behalf of Dingwall detachment.
The final presentation took place at the co-op in Alness, and was attended by Alness detachment commander Lieutenant Stuart Nicolson (31), who accepted a cheque for £1350 on behalf of the detachment.
The Co-op Local Community Fund supports projects across the UK that Co-op members care about, every time one of their members buy selected Co-op branded products and services they give local causes a helping hand.
1st Battalion the Highlanders ACF is a youth organisation which provides challenging adventure, sporting and community activities aiming to inspire young people to achieve success in live while having fun at the same time.
