Musical surprises in store at Evanton Community Wood as Coca Tenorio and Liam Ross kick-off Easter Ross concert series

MUSICAL delights are in store at an Easter Ross woodland this summer strating with performances by two acclaimed locally based artists this weekend.

Evanton Community Wood is holding its third successive series of concerts starting this Saturday with a programme featuring Coca Tenorio and Liam Ross.

The Saturday, June 17 performance starts at 3.30pm.

The first concert features Ecuador-born, Inverness-based, Coca Tenorio and her songs of life and love, celebration and yearning, wistfulness and nostalgia via Andean, Latin and South American melodies.

Liam Ross, of Invergordon, is one of the foremost fingerstyle guitarists in the Scottish Highlands. His unique approach to guitar and live performance ensures he never fails to captivate and engage a wide range of audiences.

There are five concerts in all, each on a Saturday or Sunday and all scheduled for a 3.30pm start.

Entry is free but donations are very welcome. Evanton Coop is again offering refreshments. It is a 15-minute walk from The Old Chapel entrance.

Vehicle access to the Shelter is available for people with mobility problems only. There are accessible toilets at the cabin and at Mag’s Wood.

The programme is supported by Kiltearn Community Council Novar RWE wind farm grants.
