Links House at Royal Dornoch has been named as one of the UK’s top boutique hotels.
The accolade has been given by the Top 50 brand, which works to provide a guide to the best places to eat, drink and sleep in the UK.
Establishments that made it onto the list were named at an awards ceremony held in York last week.
Links House was one of only five Scottish properties to be included and came in at number 26, and also claimed a specialist prize for unique experiences.
Links House managing director Phil Scott accepted the award digitally.
He said: “As a team, we are delighted to have been placed so high up the list and we are particularly pleased at receiving a separate award.
“It’s always a fantastic feeling to be highlighted in a group of your peers and particularly in the handful of amazing Scottish properties in this line-up.”
It is the first time the Top 50 has created a list of boutique hotels – it annually picks the top 50 gastropubs and cocktail bars.
The move follows the rise in demand for staycation breaks and first-rate experiences.
Links House has 15 luxury bedrooms, eight of which are suites. It is sited only 100 yards from Royal Dornoch Golf Club.
