Invergordon twins have shown their hard-working community spirit after clearing the snow from the entrance to the community hospital.

Twins Kaeden and Lachlan Thomas (15), found themselves with spare time on their hands after the closure of Invergordon Academy due to the severe weather conditions this week.

The two lads, along with some friends, took it upon themselves to heavily grit and clear the hill and entrance from Shore Road up towards the hospital.

After that, they went on to build a gigantic snowman on the field at the hospital, bringing smiles to the faces of many.

Invergordon Community Council thanked the two boys for their efforts on its Facebook page. It posted: "We wanted these boys, along with their friends, to get the recognition they deserve! Well done to all."

Mum of the two boys, Leah Wilson, said: "The school closed on January 17, so they built the snowman and gritted the road that day, including Westwood Street. where they live. They spent all day yesterday doing the same too.

"I am very proud of them. They are amazing boys and very talented."
