While blizzard conditions brought travel disruption and multiple closures across the Highlands, Ross-shire care home residents didn't let the frosty weather freeze their spirits.

At Innis Mhor in Tain, residents and staff, and some of their children, showed true ‘snow’ manship as they braved the chill for some spirited sledging and snowball fights.

Meanwhile, at Urray House in Muir of Ord, resident Colin Heape bundled up for a stroll in the wintry wonderland.

Kate Walker, manager of Innis Mhor, said: “Our residents had a blast sledging with the care team and their kids. It was so much fun and just goes to show that we’re all kids at heart when it snows.”
