RESIDENTS in an Easter Ross town are being asked to play their part putting smiles on the faces of nursery children involved in a quirky project.

While the school and nursery closure remains in place across the county in line with the coronavirus advice issued by the government, pupils have been getting back to work after the Easter break this week through remote online learning.

South Lodge nursery children have this week been doing a project based on the book, We're Going on a Bear Hunt.

On Friday they will be asked to go on a bear hunt around Invergordon.

This can be carried out during the daily exercise permitted under lockdown measures put in place to prevent the spread of the virus.

South Lodge Primary head teacher David Hayes-Macleod said: "We would love as many folks as possible to place a teddy in their window for the children to find. I think this will be a lovely activity and nice to have everyone involved so dig out those teddies and let's see how many can be spotted on your daily walk on Friday."
