AN Easter Ross community is paving the way for another showcase of local businesses and community groups after the success of a trailblazer last year.

Evanton Community Trust has had no shortage of interest for the Sunday, March 26 event taking place at the Diamond Jubilee Hall.

The Evanton Initiatives Showcase and Market Event running from 1pm to 4pm promises to be another joyful and colourful community celebration of the enterprising village.

Community development officer Gabrielle Buist said: "Several initiatives are telling me how this event has helped their confidence and 'product' to grow and flourish. We will also be opening the doors to our newly renovated anteroom, thanks to Scottish Government funding. Young buskers will be providing music throughout the afternoon."
