SOME disruption was still hitting the Far North Line on Tuesday – following Monday’s suspension of all Inverness-Wick services during “extreme weather”.
This morning the 6.18am Wick-Inverness service and the 7am Inverness-Wick are both terminating at Ardgay in Sutherland due to the weather.
And rail passengers are being warned that the 8.02am Wick-Inverness and subsequent 2pm Inverness-Wick return are both completely cancelled – again due to the weather.
No other services on the route were experiencing delays or cancellations at the time of writing, but further Met Office weather warnings for ice and snow are in force right through until Thursday.
