AN outreach worker supporting people with complex mental health needs in an Easter Ross community is amongst four projects sharing a £90,000 boost this week.

Moves to establish a "heat hub" and open a museum on a regular basis in Invergordon; the refurbishment of a Royal British Legion Scotland hall and a woodland path maintenance project also benefit from the funding agreed by Highland Council's Easter Ross committee.

The projects aimed at supporting economic recovery and community resilience in Easter Ross have been granted support from the Community Regeneration Funding (CRF).

CRF is an umbrella fund including £105,483 from the Highland Coastal Communities Fund (capital and revenue) and £238,560 from the Place Based Investment Fund (capital funding).

The funding awards were agreed at a special meeting of the Easter Ross area committee yesterday.
