CHILDREN in an Easter Ross community are being helped get into the festive spirit with a Christmas jumper jumble.

South Lodge Primary School said it was "blown away" by the number of donations of festive jumpers which have now been sorted for collection.

Head teacher David Hayes-MacLeod said: "A massive thank you to our Parent Council chairperson, Lisa Butcher, who came and sorted all the fantastic donations you guys have made to our Christmas jumper jumble. We are absolutely blown away by your kindness as we have 49 donations! Thank you so, so much."

The school has made arrangements which have been shared with parents and carers allowing them to take what they need.

The jumpers range from 18-24 months up to age 14 with a few adult sizes too.

Mr Hayes-MacLeod added: "Please ensure you are masked and sanitise your hands as you enter. Please also keep 2m apart from any other adult.

"Again thank you all so, so much. With this - no child will go without a Christmas jumper!"
