THE family of an Easter Ross man posted missing five weeks ago are still looking for answers.

Shaun Banner (34) was last seen near Invergordon railway station just after midnight on Saturday, April 23.

Searches of coastlines and beaches made by members of the public have been shared to a dedicated Search for Shaun Facebook page which has been inundated with good wishes and offers of support from people keen to help.

Shaun's brother Alan, who has helped coordinate the search, today posted: "Another week without Shaun.

"Five weeks and we are getting nothing. Searches continue and we continue to explore other options but we are very much feeling like we are at a standstill. This is so difficult for us as it leaves us without any answers or indications on what to do next.

"We have to continue to stay positive and keep searching the beaches and shorelines.

"Please continue your searches and sharing."

The family voiced "endless appreciation" to everyone who has shown support.

Searches in recent weeks have focused on coastlines and beaches.

His family said earlier that searches have focused on coastlines after a shoe which it is believed Shaun had been wearing when he went missing was found ashore at Nigg Beach.

Shaun is described described as 5ft 7in, with short brown hair, blue eyes and of slim build.

He was last seen wearing green and brown Crofter work trousers, a grey Rogue Attitude puffer-style jacket, blue RSE work top and grey, purple and blue Nike Air Max trainers.

Anyone with information can share it with police on 101 quoting reference 2300 on April 23.
