A ROSS-SHIRE business has become the latest to show its appreciation of the NHS during the coronavirus lockdown.

In addition to public shows of appreciation for the NHS and key workers during the Covid-19 public health crisis, some businesses have chosen to show their support by turning their premises "NHS blue" by means of specialist lighting.

Amongst the latest was Kincraig Castle Hotel on the outskirts of Invergordon which hooked up with Prism Event Lighting, which has a base in the Easter Ross town.

Owner Keith Bauer said: "Tonight’s little project venue was the fabulous Kincraig Castle Hotel on the outskirts of Invergordon. I’m sure you will agree that this is one of the most prominent landmarks in the area and it was a pleasure to light it 'NHS Blue' for Ray and his team to show their appreciation to all front line and support workers."

The firm plans on lighting up other Ross-shire landmarks and will post pictures from its "wee adventure" on its Facebook page.

Mr Bauer said: "Each venue will be lit blue to show support to all key workers. Due to social distancing there will not be crowds at any venue and they will not be put on social media until after so that people don’t travel to see them."
