AN Easter Ross hub which opened its doors on Christmas Day showed the spirit of the season to scores of people and brought cheer to others in their own homes.
The Capstone Christian Centre welcomed families and individuals facing the challenges of isolation and the rising cost of living in an attempt to spread warmth and joy through a tasty three-course meal and festive celebrations.
The event aimed to bring people together, ensuring that no one felt alone during the Christmas season.
The dinner was a great success as 40 guests and volunteers sat down together to enjoy a three-course Christmas dinner in good company.
Volunteers were also able to deliver a further 10 meals to folk at home.
Reflecting on the initiative, Reverend Iain Macaskill said: "As we celebrate Christ's birth Christmas is a time for compassion and togetherness. Our goal at Capstone is to extend a helping hand to those who may be facing difficulties, ensuring they experience the love which is the true essence of the season."
Fiona Dolan, who co-ordinated the dinner, said: "Christmas at Capstone was a true blessing. The love and support we received were overwhelming. It's heartening to see our community coming together to make a difference in the lives of those facing challenges.
"Here at Capstone we operate a drop-in cafe which aims to provide a warm, safe space and companionship for anyone and everyone. Cafe Connect is open daily from Monday to Friday, 10.30am to 12.30pm and drinks and baking are on offer free of charge.
"We are so pleased with the response to the Christmas Dinner that we hope to build on it's success and plan further community events and meals throughout the year."
